For 9 days, you are invited to pray with Jesus for inner healing, using meditations on the Holy Scriptures and praying the Rosary of the Holy Wounds.

Let us turn to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and His Mother Mary, and ask them for their help to improve our wellbeing, and live in harmony with Our Creator.

With my Wounds and my Divine Heart, you can obtain all things."

The Novena Program

For nine days, you will receive each day:

  • A meditation on the Gospel
  • A powerful prayer from the Rosary of the Holy Wounds
  • Padre Pio's Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the "Hail Holy Queen"

It is important that you go to confession and pray to Mary with the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy at least once during this novena.

How to Recite the Rosary of the Holy Wounds

French Sr. Marie-Martha Chambon (1841-1907) declared that the Lord entrusted Her with the mission to reanimate and spread the devotion to His Most Holy Wounds around the world.

Among many promises made by Christ, are the following two:

My Wounds will cover all your faults.

you must put your soul and those of your companions into My sacred Wounds; there they will become perfected as gold in the furnace. You can always purify yourself in My Wounds.

Open the prayer by saying:

"O Jesus, Divine Redeemer, be merciful to us and to the whole world. Amen.

Strong God, holy God, immortal God, have mercy on us and on the whole world. Amen.

Grace and mercy, O my Jesus, during present dangers; cover us with Your Precious Blood. Amen.

Eternal Father, grant us mercy through the Blood of Jesus Christ, Your only Son; grant us mercy, we implore You. Amen."

On the large beads:

"Eternal Father, I offer You the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ, to heal the wounds of our souls."

On the small beads:

"My Jesus, pardon and mercy, through the merits of Your Holy Wounds."

Finish the Rosary by reciting 3 times:

"O Eternal Father, be merciful to us through the Blood of Jesus Christ Your only Son! Be merciful to us, we implore You!"

Prayer from the novena

Psalms 23: 1-6 - The Lord is my shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff--they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
