The Book of Revelations
The New Testament (or “New Covenant”) is a Book containing 27 chapters which primarily focus on the life of Jesus Christ. By reading it, you can discover the story of His life on earth, from His birth to His death and resurrection, and how His disciples continued to share His message after Christ ascended into heaven. The last Book of the New Testament is known as the “Book of Revelation”: it was written around 90 and 95 A.D. and it details in 22 chapters the events of the Apocalypse. What Is the Book of Revelations About?
The End Time
The term “Apocalypse” comes from the Greek word “apocalupsis,” which means “an uncovering, a revelation, or discovery.” Using the word “Revelation” helps us understand that we are discussing the revelations of God to the Apostle John during a vision. The Book brings a light to the events of the End Times, and the rewards we believers are to expect for believing in the Good News and the message of the Gospel until the end.
Eternal Life
“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood” (Revelation 1: 5). The purpose of the Book of Revelations is to share the truth about the End Times so the faithful can prepare for eternal life. This earth and the sky will end, and a new earth will exist, filled with the believers of the Gospel, those who persevered in their faith in the Lord. Jesus Christ invites us to hope in an eternal life with Him, by showing us God’s Love and His Divine Plan.
John the Apostle, and the Book of Revelation
John was a disciple whom Christ chose as one of His Apostles. He is also the author of the Book of Revelation.
“I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.” (Revelation 1:9).
He is also the author of the Gospel of John and three Johannine Epistles (John 1, John 2 and John 3). He called Himself the “beloved disciple.” Christians also refer to him as the Apostle of Love. He died as a martyr around 100 A.D.

The Return of Jesus

Two Millenia

Judgement Day
“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life.
