Virgin Mary
"When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, "Woman, here is your son," and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home." (John 19: 26-27). The devotion to Our Mother, the Holy Virgin Mary and the Rosary are essential parts of the Christian lives of Catholics. As the spouse of Joseph and the Mother of Jesus and humankind, Mary is the first disciple of the Messiah. She is also a model of faith for us, as She fully abandoned Her life to the Will of God. Entrust your intentions to the Queen of Heaven, the Immaculate Conception, so that She may bring them to Her Son. The many prayers to Mary (prayers of protection, acts of consecration, healing prayers) are destined to reach Her Son, Jesus Christ. Let us ask Our Lady to grace us with Her powerful and maternal intercession: open yourself to Her graces, and let Her fulfil your life by offering Her a daily prayer, a novena or the Rosary.
"Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart." (Luke 2: 19). Mary is a symbol of patience and total trust in God. Despite uncertainty and challenges, She knows God's plan is Good. Like any mother who knows all about her children, She welcomes and heals our wounds, our fears: She untangles the "knots" in our lives. Many novenas are designed to help us entrust our intentions to Her, such as the novena to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots.
The Virgin Mary hears our suffering, whether it manifests itself in the physical or the emotional realm. She demonstrated Her great compassion towards the sick many times over. Our prayers to Her are never in vain, and the Virgin Mary can obtain many graces for the afflicted: comfort, appeasement, courage, healing. Let us entrust Our Lady of Lourdes with the wounds in our bodies and souls.
Many Marian devotions have been created throughout the centuries, notably on the occasion of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in different places around the world. Prayers and novenas are designed to help us pray to the Mother of Jesus and Her Son through Her. Each of these prayers reveals more about our Mother's kindness and the love She devotes to each of Her children. Discover Her closeness to us with prayers to Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, etc.
By saying "yes", the young Mary allowed God's plan of Redemption to be set in motion and accomplished. She opened the way to the Heart of God, on which She is always ready to walk, by our side, to guide us. You can enlist different prayer propositions on Hozana and pray for a few days, or a month, to follow Her path. You can also choose to pray daily to Our Mother Mary so that She may bring light to your life.
The Hail Mary and the Lord's Prayer can help you observe a moment of meditation, bringing strength to your prayer intentions. The Rosary is a special form of prayer meant to help you contemplate the main episodes of the life of Jesus Christ through the eyes of Mary, opening your heart to the mysteries of the Christian faith.
