“IN THE BEGINNING was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”(John 1:1)

What is the Word of God?

In some translations of the Bible, the word Logos is translated as Word: “IN THE BEGINNING was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Jesus, the Word made flesh. We enter a new dimension of this living and creative word that is the Word of God (as the story of Genesis states). The Word of God is embodied in Jesus.

This verse also introduces us into the mystery of the trinity, since Jesus is with God (and in this a distinct person) while being God.
