Praying for families should be an important part of your devotional time: unfortunately, some families are not always models of a united, warm and comforting home that both protects and opens the world to its members. Life’s challenges and a lack of listening can lead to conflict in marriage, between siblings, parents and their children, or with grandparents, uncles and aunts, etc. You might wonder then: “how can I bring peace to a broken family? How can I comfort a member of a broken family?”
The answer is: with love. Lots and lots of love. And you can use help from the Lord, the Fountain of Love. Let’s pray to Him with all your heart for broken families!
“Oh Lord, bringer of all peace, of all love; please turn Your kind and merciful eyes upon this divided family.
You call us to be united, and can help us mend broken hearts; have mercy on us.
Oh Lord Jesus of Nazareth, grant me this grace through Your merits as the most loving and most faithful Son.
Oh Blessed Mary of Nazareth, grant me this grace through Your merits as the most humble and most gentle spouse and mother.
Oh Blessed Joseph of Nazareth, grant me this grace through Your merits as the most kind and most faithful husband and father.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
