“Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?” (Hebrews, 1:14).
In the great fight against evil, as during our daily internal struggles, God is always by our side. He does not abandon us: His angels were sent to watch over us , protect us and guide us. Just like we can invoke the assistance of the saints in the Litany of the Saints, so too can we ask for the protection of the angels with the Litany to the Holy Angels. The prayer is an invocation to the many Archangels, Seraphim, Cherubins, and all the celestial beings to ask for their help and prayers.

V/Bless the Lord, all ye Angels:
R.Ye that are mighty in strength, that fulfill His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His words.
Let us pray:
O God, Who in Thine unspeakable Providence dost send Thine Angels to keep guard over us, grant unto Thy suppliants that we may be continually defended by their protection and may rejoice eternally in their society, through Jesus Christ Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with Thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, forever and ever. Amen.”
Whether they are Archangels (mighty warriors), or guardian angels (who guide us discreetly throughout our lives), the angels provide their valuable assistance to Christians on earth. Learn to pray to them to ask for their help… and to give them thanks.
St. Michael the Archangel is perhaps the most prayed-to Archangel in Christianity. He is the commander of the celestial militia, a great symbol of the fight against evil. There are many prayers to St. Michael, notably an exorcism prayer by Pope Leo XIII: it is a prayer for deliverance from everything that keeps us down, trapped by sin. You can also entrust your prayer intentions to the Holy Archangel with the Litany of St. Michael and the Chaplet of St. Michael Archangel.
To invoke the Nine Choirs of Angels, you can recite the following prayer:
“O Holy Angels, watch over us at all times during this perilous life: O holy Archangels, be our guides on the way to heaven; O heavenly choir of the Principalities, govern us in soul and body; O mighty Powers, preserve us against the wiles of the demons; O celestial Virtues, give us strength and courage in the battle of life; O powerful Dominations, obtain for us dominion over the rebellion of our flesh; O sacred Thrones, grant us peace with God and man; O brilliant Cherubim, illuminate our minds with heavenly knowledge; O burning Seraphim, enkindle in our hearts the fire of charity.
Amen.”
