60,000. That's the average number of thoughts a person has in just one day. All of these thoughts reside in our souls and influence our behavior. When we have thoughts of fear, rejection, bitterness or even suicide, it's our internal selves that we’re destroying. That's why we have to take care of our souls as much as we take care of our bodies. In the Word of God, our Father’s desires for us are expressed like this: “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” (3 John 1:2). Knowing the state of one’s soul means understanding our inner activity and through that, better managing our emotions and decisions. Jesus came to heal the broken bodies, but also hearts. Here are 10 Bible passages that deal with the subject of the soul.
