Do you have trouble sleeping or getting through the whole night peacefully? It's often when we try to fall asleep that our thoughts act up and disrupt our sleep. But when we look at the word of God, we see that one day, when Jesus decided to board a boat with his disciples, “suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.” (Matthew 8:24). He was so sure that God wouldn't let him die in the water that he slept peacefully. This is the attitude that God wants us to hold. Does God sleep?
“Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you—The Lord is your shade at your right hand; The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. (Psalms 121:4-6)
Where to sleep in total safety?
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalms 4:8)
Should I be afraid in the night?
“He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
